Sadly another of the greats has passed away. I have been a fan of the man's work since I was a kid and read The Flash.
Was there ever a more suited artist to Flash?
I had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago in New York and had a good chat to him at his table and got a sketch. Always nervous to meet your heroes he was an absolute gent (although I got the impression he had a little problem understanding my English accent). He was a great guy (and from I hear a bit of a ball buster in his time). He was exceptionally nice to me and literally made my trip worthwhile.
He will be sorely missed.
