UKCAC - Year of Watchmen and Batman.

Having a dig about I also found this programme of events from UKCAC86.

And yes it does have a Watchmen panel with Dave Gibbons, Alan Moore and John Higgins. 'It's been out for five issues now...'

It also seems to have a 'State of the Industry' panel with Chris Claremont, Gary Groth, Gil Kane, Gary Leach and David Lloyd.

I remember this so well. Great days.
