Marvel also produced some choose your own adventure books in the 1980s. I found in a trunk a Captain America game book that is actually not that bad. (This is the second in the series).
These were all the fashion at the time and the DC Comics versions seem a little more rushed than this book.
It is much longer for a start and contains a dandy score card that you can pull out and use like a book mark.
The spot illustrations are bordered and of a greater detail than their competitions art.
A lot of the characters of that particular era are in it with big appearances by Hydra and The Constrictor. It reads pretty well for this sort of game book too.
With a world full of 3D and complicated computer games it's just a nostalgia item now. But a pretty cool one.
